On 02 May 2024, the UN Global Compact in Ukraine, together with ExPro, held an online discussion “Smart Grid Concept and its current state of implementation in Ukraine” as part of the Ukraine Energy Initiative.
The event brought together speakers from the State Agency for State Regulation in Energy and Utilities, Ukrainian Distribution Networks, DTEK Grids, the Ministry of Energy, Ternopiloblenergo, Smart Grids of Ukraine, DMCC Engineering, and the Energy Efficiency Expert Platform.
The following speakers joined the online event:
– Ruslan Slobodyan, Head of the State Inspectorate of the Energy Supervision;
– Mykola Markheva, Head of Automation and Business Process Optimisation Department, Ukrainian Distribution Networks JSC;
– Andrii Leshchuk, Technical Director, Ternopiloblenergo JSC;
– Sharunas Kirlis, Head of Planning, Analytics and Grid Data Management Department, DTEK Grids;
– Artem Pasko, expert on power grid development, Rehabilitation and Reform Support Team at the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine;
– Oleksandr Baraniuk, Executive Director of Smart Grids of Ukraine;
– Anton Steliuk, Deputy Chief Engineer at DMCC Engineering;
– Ihor Cherkashyn, Head of the NGO Expert Platform on Energy Efficiency.
In total, more than 170 people joined the online event.
